Dictate a message

On your computer, use its own dictation to speak into the message box. In the mobile app, use the dictate button.

Speak a message instead of typing it. How you do this is different on your computer and in the mobile app.

On your computer

Nebo uses your computer's own dictation, so it works in the message box exactly as it works anywhere else you type: on a Mac, turn on Dictation; on Windows, press Win + H. What you say is typed straight into the box, and you send it the normal way.

In the mobile app

  1. In the message box, tap the Dictate microphone icon. Speech is turned into text in the box as you talk, on your phone — nothing leaves the device for this.
  2. Tap the stop icon to stop dictating, or the X to cancel and discard it.
  3. Send the message once it looks right.

Hold the Dictate icon instead of tapping it to record a real voice message: it attaches to your message as an audio file, for the employee to listen to.
