There are two ways to set quotas. Divide the target by the number of reps, which takes an afternoon and is why most plans miss. Or build up from what one rep can realistically produce and see what the total comes to. Your Territory & Quota Planner does the second and shows you the difference.

Bottom-up, with every assumption visible. How many accounts, how many conversations a rep can hold, what proportion convert at your actual historical rate, at your actual average deal size. Every figure traceable, so the plan can be argued with in advance instead of discovered in month four.

The gap is stated, not closed. When the bottom-up total falls short of the company's target, you are told by how much, rather than having a win rate quietly raised by two points to make the arithmetic work.

Ramping reps count as ramping. Someone who started last month does not get a full quota. It sounds obvious and it is one of the commonest reasons a team target is missed by exactly the amount a new hire was expected to produce.

The gaps you are not covering. Accounts nobody owns, segments nobody calls, a geography that has quietly had no one in it since someone left. Named, with what they are worth.

Mid-period changes modelled before they are made. When someone joins or leaves, it shows the re-cut that moves the fewest accounts, protects live deals, and names every rep affected and by how much.
