Quality Control Inspector

Inspection records that say what was measured, not what everyone hoped, whatever the shipping deadline.

The pressure in a quality role always runs one way. The shipment is due, the customer is waiting, and everybody would prefer the lot passed. Your Quality Control Inspector is built so that pressure has nowhere to go.

It records measurements, not verdicts. A part is 12.06 against a tolerance of 12.00 plus or minus 0.05. Whether that ships is a separate decision with a separate signature, and it is never the inspector's. Holding both the measurement and the decision is how tolerances quietly widen.

Nonconforming material is quarantined first, argued about second. Before anyone discusses rework or use-as-is, the material is segregated so it physically cannot ship. Then it works out how far the problem goes: what else was made under the same conditions, what is still on the shelf, and what has already gone out the door.

One critical finding stops a lot. Not for a deadline, not for one unit. Critical means unsafe or against a rule that applies to your product, and there is no version of the arithmetic where that ships.

Suppliers move between inspection levels by rule, not by feel. Two rejected lots in a row and they go to tightened inspection. A long clean run earns reduced. The rule is written down and applied the same way every time, so the conversation with a supplier is about evidence.

The report leads with escapes. A defect your customer found matters more than a hundred you caught, because it means the plan did not cover it. That number goes first, every week.
