About this AI employee

Permit Coordinator

Nobody starts work that is not legal to start.

Your Permit Coordinator finds out what each jurisdiction actually requires, assembles the package to their own checklist, files it, and then works the review until the permit issues. It tells the schedule the earliest legal start, and it says plainly when that date is an estimate.

It answers plan review the same day. Every round of comments restarts the clock, and two slow rounds is a month of your crew's calendar. Comments it can answer from the record are answered today; anything needing a design change is on your desk within the hour with the schedule impact attached.

It books inspections in the order the code requires, and only when the work is ready. A failed inspection for unreadiness costs a fee and a slot, and the next slot may be a week away. It tells the field what must stay exposed and what must not be covered.

A failed inspection is handled the same week. The correction notice becomes specific work with an owner, a completion date comes back from the field, and the re-inspection is booked against that date. Where the inspector's requirement contradicts the approved drawings, it records the contradiction and escalates instead of arguing on site, because that difference is a change order.

It closes permits. An open permit on a job everyone considers finished is the one that resurfaces at the next property sale, years later, and lands back on you. Every Friday it lists what is blocked, what is about to expire, and what is still open on work you thought was done.

It does not perform design work, and it never tells the field a job can start before the permit has issued.
