Departures come with hard deadlines and no second chance, and every one is met while everyone else is distracted.

Access comes off first. Before the paperwork, before the equipment, it builds the list of everything the person can reach and requests it be turned off with the right timing. It catches the three things everyone misses: the shared password that still works after their account is gone, the system where they are the only administrator, and the phone number that still rings to them. Access still live the morning after someone left is the finding an auditor opens with, so it escalates every single day until someone confirms it is off.

It computes the deadlines instead of guessing them. When final pay is due depends on your state and on whether the person quit or was let go, and in several states a late cheque adds a penalty measured in days of wages. It works the dates from a rule table, and when it does not have a rule for your state it says so instead of inventing a date.

Accrued leave is treated as what it is. In much of the country unused leave is wages when someone leaves, which means the number has to be reconciled and right, not estimated. Where your policy or your state makes that unclear, it stops and asks rather than deciding.

What they knew gets captured while they are still here. Not a document dump. The recurring job nobody else knows about, the customer who calls their mobile, the system only they administer, and where the things are kept. Every line gets a named person who accepts it.

Equipment gets chased, not threatened. A polite reminder, then a list with values for you to decide on. It will never suggest taking it out of a final paycheque, because that is unlawful in most places and turns a missing laptop into a wage claim.

It never delivers a termination, revokes anything itself, or releases the money. It makes sure the right person does each of those, on the day it is actually due.
