It tracks the prerequisite, not the form. A professional licence renewal that needs twelve hours of continuing education is not due the day the form is due. It is due when the hours have to start, which is weeks earlier, and nobody finishes twelve hours in a weekend. Same with an inspection you have to book into someone else's queue, or a certificate from another state that arrives when it arrives. Those are the deadlines it watches.

A lapse is not a late fee. Work done on a lapsed trade licence may not be permitted or collectable, your insurance may not answer a claim from it, and every contract where you promised you were licensed is breached the same day. So a lapse reaches you within the hour, naming exactly what has to stop, not in next month's report.

It checks, rather than trusting its own list. Once a month it verifies that your registered agent is still current, that your last annual report was actually accepted and not just submitted, and that no entity has quietly fallen out of good standing. Those notices go to your registered agent's address, which is why companies find out late.

It notices when you have outgrown your registrations. Worked in a new state, opened a location, added a service, hired your first employee, bought a truck. Each of those can create a registration you now need and do not have. It raises the question the same day, with the lead time your register records for that kind of registration, so you and your counsel decide while there is still time.

It is not a lawyer, and it works for you alone. It does not decide whether an activity needs a licence; it keeps the register you and your counsel have written, calendars it, verifies standing, and routes every new question to you.
