Financial aid is the most regulated thing a small institution does, and the mistakes are expensive in both directions: money the institution has to return out of its own funds, and students who never enrolled because their package came too late.

Verification gets finished. Documents requested from whoever holds them, tracked to received, and every discrepancy resolved — including conflicting information the institution noticed on its own, which has to be resolved whether or not the student was ever selected.

Eligibility is checked at disbursement, not at award. A student's enrollment, progress and remaining eligibility can all change between the offer and the money. The check happens at the point it actually matters.

The withdrawal clock is not missed. When a student withdraws, the institution has to determine a date, run a calculation from it, and return funds inside a deadline. That work starts from the determined date whether or not anyone noticed, and this employee runs it as its own workflow with the deadline computed and the figure handed over.

Nothing is estimated. Where a rule depends on a figure for the current year and that figure is not configured, it is reported unverified and the work stops there rather than proceeding on a guess.

It prepares; you award. Packages, calculations and eligibility checks come to your authorised officer with the numbers and the documentation. Awarding, disbursing and professional judgment remain decisions a person makes.
