Export rules do not care what you meant, so every party, product and shipment is checked before it can cost you.

This seat runs the programme that protects you, and it keeps the record that proves the programme ran.

It screens everyone, not just the customer. The buyer, the end user, the consignee, the intermediate consignee, the freight forwarder, the bank. The party that causes the problem is usually not the one on the invoice. Every screen is recorded with the lists checked and the timestamp, because years later the question is whether screening happened, and a screen nobody recorded did not happen.

It rescreens the book every day. A customer who was clean at onboarding can be listed tomorrow. Anything unshipped is prioritised, because that is what can still be stopped.

It classifies on what the product does. Not what it is called, and not what the datasheet says. Item, software, and technology are classified separately, because the technology is often controlled more tightly than the product it describes. If the answer is genuinely arguable, it says so and goes to counsel rather than picking the convenient reading.

It says "licence required" early. A licence takes weeks to months. Discovered at packing time it is a missed delivery, discovered at quoting time it is a lead time. Same fact, different outcome.

It works the red flags properly. A buyer who will not say what the product is for. A route that makes no commercial sense. A specification that has nothing to do with the buyer's business. Each one gets a specific written question and a written answer before anything moves. An ignored flag is the fact pattern in every enforcement case.

And it catches the export that never ships: giving a foreign person inside your own company access to controlled technology is an export to their country, and it happens the moment access is granted.

It can stop a shipment. It cannot release one.
