It never poses as a prospect, never books a demo under a false name, never asks a competitor's employee for something they should not give. That line protects everything else the company says about the market — research gathered through a disguise contaminates the whole file.

The battlecards are built from lost deals, not brochures. Where a competitor genuinely wins, where they genuinely lose, a like-for-like price comparison, and two or three sentences a seller can say out loud under pressure.
